Kids’ Reserve is a not-for-profit incorporated society in central Wellington providing care and education for children aged approximately 6 months (earlier by arrangement) to 5 years. Children are cared for in an environment that nurtures, protects, and encourages learning. The learning environment encompasses the principles and strands of Te Whāriki, the New Zealand national curriculum for early childhood education and care.
The centre is licensed for a maximum of 47 children, with a maximum of 19 under the age of 2.
The centre operates in separate age-appropriate learning areas:
Korimako and Bellbird rooms
Age range: 6 months to 2 years (from 3 months by arrangement)
Penguin Room
Age range: 2 to 3.5 years
Tui Room
Age range: 3 to 5 years
